The hotel Brighton dates back to the end of the 19th century. Its name originates from the warm friendship which was held between France and England during the reign of Queen Victoria.

Overlooking the Tuileries Garden and many of the most beautiful monuments in Paris, the view is spectacular.

The Tuileries, the most important and the oldest of all the Paris gardens, extends from the Place de la Concorde all the way to the Louvre, and from the river Seine to the rue de Rivoli. Queen Catherine de Medicis instructed it to be planted in 1564, following an Italian plan. One century later, in 1664, Jean-Baptiste Colbert, minister under Louis XIV, ordered the garden to be completely redesigned by André Le Nôtre, who had already proved himself at the Vaux-le-Vicomte chateau. Manicured lawns, flower-beds and basins are embellished today by many statues - mostly by Auguste Rodin, Maillol and Jean Dubuffet - and temporary exhibitions of contemporary sculptors such as Louise Bourgeois. The Hotel is also just a couple of blocks away from the Place de la Concorde, the Jeu de Paume Gallery, the Orangerie, and of course, the Louvre.
